This is my youngest son with his newly acquired, and slightly early 5th birthday present, enveloped in the blue comfort of his bedroom hide-out (we converted the bottom bunk into a cave for him). I love this shot because for once he is still and not flitting around like a butterfly. Still shots of him are like gold dust!
Shot in 1:1, and in RAW with my X30 which I am now beginning to fall in love with, despite it having been a bit of a learning curve to adjust to this camera’s very different controls, different from my X100S that is. The real gem about this camera is that it shoots superb macro and super-macro images, something my X100S struggles with despite all its other excellent qualities.
