      1. I used to grow them from seed, tricky little things as they are a bit sensitive when young, susceptible to stem-rot. Also being biennials you have a very long wait before you actually see them flower, and then to find out what kind of colour the flower would be was always the bit I loved. I would get mixed packs of seeds so I wouldn’t know what I was going to get. I loved the anticipation and the surprise.

          1. Yeah, I used to be. I haven’t grown anything since going to Venice the first time a couple of years ago.
